COVID-19

Hey all!

We’re here! Amidst all this craziness, we are hoping that you stay happy and healthy during this time of unknown. We are continuing to monitor the situation as it evolves, and are doing our part to stop the spread of all germs. Because we already disinfect daily, change sheets for each new patient, wash hands (and elbows 😉) before and after each massage as well as normal daily hygiene, we are also adding disinfecting practices more times throughout the day to keep up with precautions.

We want you to stay healthy as possible, here are some tips to keep you guys on the move!

•    Get good sleep, and prioritize your self-care. Sleep is critical to optimal immune function.

•    Stay hydrated. Water is at the foundation of our health. Water consumed regularly helps keep our whole system functioning optimally, including our immune systems.

•           Eat nutrient-rich foods, and prioritize a healthy diet. Your diet provides building blocks used by your immune system to fight illness. Without those resources, your immune system will be weaker.

•    Some nutrients that optimize your immune system include Vitamin D, Zinc, and Vitamin C

Zinc – seafood, pumpkin seed, sea vegetables, beans, lentils and legumes.

Vitamin D – salmon, fatty fish, egg yolks, cheese (if tolerable), mushrooms.

Vitamin C – oranges, papayas, strawberries, kiwi, organic leafy green vegetables

(spinach, bok choy, kale), broccoli, and bell peppers.

Vitamin A - liver, cod liver oil, mackerel, salmon; beta-carotene: sweet potato, winter

  squash, kale, collards, and carrots.

•    Don’t panic! An outbreak is scary, but most people will experience COVID-19 as a mild illness. Prolonged stress and anxiety inhibits immune function, so whether it is fear about the virus or excess stress at home or work, do what you can to give your system a break and restore.

•    Exercise, massage, nutritional and herbal supplements as necessary, tai chi, yoga, meditation, or whatever your “go-to” to unwind must take priority now. Take care of yourself, get outside and enjoy nature!

As we do our part, please practice good judgement on your part. If you are not feeling well, please let me know that you would like to reschedule for another time to keep everyone healthy and safe. Feel free to call or text 406.498.0483 if you have questions or concerns!
